By making a reservation, placing an order, or using the services of Joanna's Steakhouse (Pty) Ltd ("Joanna's"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECTA").
2.1 Reservations may be made via our website, by telephone, or in person.
2.2 A reservation constitutes a booking for a table at the specified date and time. It does not guarantee a specific table location within the restaurant.
2.3 We ask that guests notify us of any cancellation or change at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee for groups of 6 or more.
2.4 We will hold your table for 15 minutes beyond the reserved time. After this period, we reserve the right to release the table.
2.5 For private dining bookings, specific terms regarding minimum spend, cancellation, and deposits will be communicated at the time of enquiry.
3.1 All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the applicable rate.
3.2 Prices are subject to change without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of ordering.
3.3 We accept major credit and debit cards, EFT, and cash. We do not accept cheques.
3.4 A discretionary service charge of 10% may be added to tables of 8 or more guests.
4.1 We take dietary requirements and food allergies seriously. Please inform your server or our reservations team of any allergies or dietary restrictions prior to or upon arrival.
4.2 While we take every precaution, our kitchen handles a wide range of ingredients including common allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
4.3 Joanna's shall not be liable for any allergic reaction arising from failure to disclose a known allergy or dietary requirement.
5.1 Joanna's reserves the right to refuse admission or to ask any guest to leave if their conduct is deemed disruptive, offensive, or contrary to the comfort and enjoyment of other guests.
5.2 We operate a smart casual to formal dress code. Guests dressed in sportswear, flip-flops, or attire deemed inappropriate may be refused entry at the discretion of management.
5.3 Joanna's is a licensed premises. The serving of alcohol is subject to the Liquor Act and applicable provincial legislation. We will not serve alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years.
All content on the Joanna's website, including text, images, logos, and design elements, is the intellectual property of Joanna's Steakhouse (Pty) Ltd and is protected by South African copyright law. No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Joanna's shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services.
7.2 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act.
8.1 We take all complaints seriously. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, please speak with our manager on duty or contact us at [email protected].
8.2 We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 10 business days.
8.3 In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved directly, the parties agree to attempt mediation before resorting to litigation. The courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have jurisdiction.
Joanna's reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any amended terms.
